This timeline gives a chronological listing of the main events in the life of the fictitious character, Bran Stark, as shown in the TV series Game of Thrones

Before Season 1 Age 0
Brandon Stark, known as Bran, was born to Ned and Catelyn Stark. He was the couple’s fourth child, Robb, Sansa and Arya had been born earlier.
Before Season 1 Age 4
Bran’s brother, Rickon, was born.
Season 1 Age 10
After watching their father execute a deserter from the Nightswatch, the Stark family found a litter of five direwolf pups and claimed one each. Bran named his direwolf Summer.
Season 1 Age 10
King Robert Baratheon and his family arrived at Winterfell. Robert persuaded Ned Stark to accept the post of become Hand of the King. Ned reluctantly accepted.
Season 1 Age 10
Bran, who loved climbing the walls and towers of Winterfell, witnessed Jaime and Cersei Lannister having sex. Jamie pushed Bran off the wall hoping the fall would kill him. Bran survived but was paralysed and in a coma.
Season 1 Age 10
Bran’s older sisters, Sansa and Arya went with their father to Kings Landing.
Season 1 Age 10
Bran Stark survived an assassination attempt after the assassin was fought off by his mother and killed by his direwolf.

Bran awoke from his coma at the same time as his father killed Sansa’s direwolf. He had no memory of what had happened.

Bran’s mother Catelyn left Winterfell to go to Kings Landing in order to warn Ned that the family may be in danger. Bran’s brother Robb was left in charge of Winterfell.

Bran Stark began to have a recurring dream about a three-eyed raven.

Tyrion Lannister brought Bran a specially designed saddle which meant he could ride again.

While out riding Bran was attacked by a group of wildlings. The wildlings were fought off by Robb and Theon Greyjoy and all were killed except Osha who was taken prisoner. She became a servant of the family.
Season 1 Age 10
After hearing the news of Ned Stark’s execution, Robb called out the family bannermen and rode south. Bran Stark and his younger brother Rickon were left in the care of Maester Luwin.
Season 2 Age 11
Bran Stark continued to have strange dreams often dreaming that he was his direwolf, Summer. He also had more dreams of the three-eyed raven.
Season 2 Age 11
As the oldest Stark at Winterfell, Bran heldĀ court and assigned two orphan boys to help a local shepherd.
Season 2 Age 11
Winterfell received news that Torrhen’s Square was under siege. Bran directed Rodrik Cassel to send men to help relieve the siege. Soon afterwards Winterfell was attacked and taken by Theon Greyjoy who executed Rodrik Cassel.
Season 2 Age 11
Osha took Bran, Rickon, Hodor and the boys’ direwolves away from Winterfell. They passed the shepherd’s cottage but Bran refused to ask them for help because he was worried that it might put the family in danger. Osha then doubled back and they all hid in the crypts below the castle.
Season 2 Age 11
Theon, unable to find Bran and Rickon, did not want to lose face with his men so killed the two orphan boys living at the farm and burnt their bodies. He then claimed they were the bodies of Bran and Rickon.
Season 2 Age 11
Ramsay Bolton, sent by Robb Stark to free Winterfell, killed Theon’s iron born men and took Theon prisoner before leaving Winterfell in ruins. Osha, Rickon, Bran and Hodor left the crypt. They found Maester Luwin dying in the castle grounds. He told them to go north to Castle Black.
Season 3 Age 12
Jojen and Meera Reed found Bran, Rickon, Osha and Hodor and joined the group saying they had come to protect them.
Season 3 Age 12
Jojen Reed told Bran that he was a Warg and that he has the power to become as one with animals. Bran shared dreams with Jojen but was unable to catch the three-eyed raven.
Season 3 Age 12
Jojen Reed told Bran that he had seen Jon Snow with a group of Wildlings.
Season 3 Age 12
Bran, Rickon and the rest of the group sheltered in a mill during a thunderstorm. While there they heard a group of Wildlings chasing a northman. Bran used his warg powers to silence Hodor then to help fight off the Wildlings. He also helped Jon Snow to escape.
Season 3 Age 12
Bran Stark told Osha, who was reluctant to go north of the wall, to take Rickon to Jon Umber at Last Hearth and keep him safe.
Season 3 Age 12
Bran, Hodor and the Reeds reached the wall where they met with Sam Tarly. Sam offered to take them to Castle Black but Bran refused stating they were going beyond the wall.
Season 4 Age 13
Bran Stark continued to use his warg powers to see through his direwolf’s eyes. He saw a Heart tree on a hill and realised that was where he needed to go to find the three-eyed raven.
Season 4 Age 13
After hearing a baby crying Bran warged with Summer to investigate but the direwolf got caught along with Jon Snow’s direwolf, Ghost. This led to Bran, Hodor, Meera and Jojen being captured by a group of renegade Night’s Watch.
Season 4 Age 13
In order to prevent Jojen and Meera being killed Bran revealed his true identity to his captors.
Season 4 Age 13
Jon Snow arrived at Craster’s Keep and attacked the renegade Nights Watch. One of Jon Snow’s group, Locke, a spy sent by Roose Bolton to kill Bran and Rickon, found Bran, Hodor, Meera and Jojen. Bran warged into Hodor and killed him.
Season 4 Age 13
After realising that Jon Snow would stop him going further north, Bran, Hodor, Meera and Jojen quietly left Craster’s Keep without being seen.
Season 4 Age 13
Bran Stark and his companions reached the tree he had seen. There they were attacked by a group of wights and Jojen was stabbed and died.
Season 4 Age 13
Bran, Hodor and Meera were found by a Child of the Forest, Leaf, and led into the cave where the three-eyed raven was waiting for them.
Season 6 Age 15
Bran Stark spent time with the three-eyed raven and together they travelled back in time to when Bran’s father was a young man. Bran saw Ned with Howland Reed looking for Lyanna Stark.
Season 6 Age 15
Bran travelled back in time again and saw the Children of the Forest create the White Walkers.
Season 6 Age 15
Anxious to learn more of the past, Bran travelled without the raven. He was seen by the Night King who touched him. The raven told Bran that this action meant that they were no longer protected by the cave.
Season 6 Age 15
Bran and the raven were travelling back in time again when the Night King and his army entered the cave. The three-eyed raven was killed and Leaf held them off to allow Hodor, Bran and Meera to escape before being killed herself.
Season 6 Age 15
While in the past, Bran heard Meera’s voice telling him to warg into Hodor. Bran, in the past warged into the young Hodor. Meera shouted at Hodor to Hold the door. Hodor threw his weight onto the door holding the wights long enough to allow Meera to escape with Bran. In the past Bran came out of Hodor and saw young Hodor shouting repeatedly ‘hold the door’ until the words ran together and became Hodor.
Season 6 Age 15
Bran Stark was still in his trance being dragged by Meera away from the wights who had got past Hodor and were chasing them. Bran and Meera were rescued by Bran’s dead uncle, Benjen Stark and taken to a Weirwood tree. Benjen told Bran that he was now the Three-eyed Raven.
Season 6 Age 15
Bran returned to the past and saw his father find Lyanna Stark in the Tower of Joy. Lyanna handed Ned a baby and asked him to say it was his own son to protect the child. Bran realised the baby was Jon Snow.
Season 7 Age 16
Bran and Meera Reed reached the Wall.
Season 7 Age 16
Bran and Meera Reed reached Winterfell. Bran spoke to Sansa and told her he was now the three-eyed raven. He described her wedding day which unnerved her.
Season 7 Age 16
Bran said goodbye to Meera Reed who returned home to her family. Bran told her that he was no longer Bran Stark.
Season 7 Age 16
Littlefinger gave Bran the valyrian steel dagger that was used to try to assassinate him. Bran later gave the dagger to Arya.
Season 7 Age 16
Bran used his warg powers to fly north of the Wall. He saw the vast army of the dead marching south.
Season 7 Age 16
Bran Stark used his knowledge of the past to help convict Petyr Baelish of murder and treason.
Season 7 Age 16
Bran seemed pleased to see Sam Tarly arrive in Winterfell. He told Sam that Jon Snow was really Aegon Sand, Rhaegar and Lyanna’s bastard son. Sam then told Bran that he had read the Maester’s diary at the Citadel and that Rhaegar’s marriage to Elia of Dorne had been annulled and Rhaegar had married Lyanna. John Snow was therefore Aegon Targaryen and rightful heir to the throne.
Season 7 Age 16
Bran Stark sat under a weirwood tree and went into a trance. He saw the white walkers and their army of wights advance on the Wall. He then saw the Night King riding the dragon Viserion. Viserion burnt a huge hole in the Wall allowing the army of the dead to pass through.
Season 8
Bran was reunited with Jon when he returned back to Winterfell from King’s Landing.
Season 8 Age 17
Prompted by Bran, Sam told Jon that he was really Aegon Targaryen and the real heir to the Iron Throne. Jon then told Danaerys.
Season 8 Age 17
Bran was sitting under the Weirwood tree when Jaime Lannister came to see him and apologised for pushing him from the tower. Bran was nonchalant and told Jaime that there may not be a future anyway.
Season 8 Age 17
The commanders met to discuss tactics for the upcoming battle. Bran stated that the Night King would come for him and said that he would position himself in the Godswood as bait. He said that if the Night King was killed then his army would be destroyed. Theon offered to go to the weirwood with him and defend him.
Season 8 Age 17
Theon managed to protect Bran from the army of the dead. Bran flew off as the three-eyed raven and soared above the army of the dead.
Season 8 Age 17
The Night King approached Bran and Theon charged at him with his sword. Theon was killed when the Night King stabbed him through the heart. The Knight King then raised his spear and walked towards Bran Stark. From nowhere Arya rushed the Night King from behind and stabbed him with her valerian steel dagger. He fell to the ground, dead. As he was eliminated the army of the dead disintegrated.
Season 8 Age 17
Bran Stark joined the survivors in paying respects to those that had died.

Bran met with Jon, Sansa and Arya under the Weirwood tree and Jon revealed his true identity after swearing the two girls to secrecy.
Season 8 Age 17
Bran learned of the destruction of Kings Landing and the death of Daenerys Targaryen and travelled South. At a meeting of the leaders of the great houses it was decided that Bran should be King of the Seven Kingdoms. All leaders agreed except Sansa who insisted that the North remain a free land. Bran granted her request. Bran chose Tyrion to be his Hand of the King.
Season 8 Age 17
Bran Stark was present at the first meeting of the Small Council.
