1984 (15th September)
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex was born Henry Charles Albert David to Prince Charles and Lady Diana at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital, London.
1984 (21st December)
Harry was christened at St George’s Chapel, Windsor.
1985 (during)
Prince Charles and Diana went on a tour of Italy and took Harry with them.
1987 (during)
Harry attended Mrs Mynor’s Nursery school.
1989 (during)
Wetherby Prep School, in Kensington, London was chosen for Harry to begin his primary education.
1991 (23rd October)
Charles and Diana went on a 4 day visit to Ontario, Canada. They took Harry and his brother William with them.
1992 (29th March)
Harry’s maternal grandfather, Earl Spencer, died of a heart attack.
1992 (September)
Harry attended Ludgrove School, Berkshire.
1992 (9th December)
It was announced in the House of Commons that Prince Charles and Diana, were to separate.
1996 (28th August)
The marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana, was formally dissolved it was agreed that they would share custody of their children.
1997 (31st August)
Lady Diana Spencer, was killed in a car crash in Paris. Harry and his brother William were told the news at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
1997 (6th September)
Harry and his brother William walked in procession behind their mother’s coffin with Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Earl Spencer. After a service at Westminster Abbey she was buried on an island at the Althorpe family estate.
1997 (Autumn)
Harry enrolled at Eton College.
1998 (during)
Harry and his brother William made a formal request to the media to allow them some privacy in their lives.
2003 (Summer)
Harry left Eton. He gained 2 A-levels in Art and Geography.
2004 (during)
Harry took a gap year from his studies which was spent in Australia working on a cattle station. Afterwards he worked with orphaned children in Lesotho.
2005 (January)
Moved by the Boxing Day 2004 Tsunami, Harry and his brother William volunteered to help the British Red Cross organising supplies for countries affected.
2005 (8th May)
Harry attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
2005 (Autumn)
Harry began a relationship with Chelsy Davy, daughter of burinessman Charles Davy.
2006 (April)
Harry completed officer training and became a second lieutenant in the Blues and Royals.
2007 (16th May)
Harry was told that he would not be able to serve with his unit in Iraq as he was a high risk target and threats had been made against him by various groups which could endanger the lives of his regiment and himself. Harry was unhappy with the decision but had to agree.

Harry went to Canada to train with soldiers of the Canadian Forces.
2008 (early)
Prince Harry was sent to Afghanistan. For his own and his regiment’s protection a blackout was imposed on media reporting of the fact.
2008 (May)
Harry received the Operational Service Medal for Afghanistan.

Harry’s relationship with girlfriend Chelsy Davy ended.

Harry began training to fly military helicopters.

The American celebrity Website TMZ published pictures of Harry naked in a hotel room with an unknown woman. He claimed that his privacy had been invaded by the media.

Harry began a four month tour of Afghanistan.
2013 (9th May)
Prince Harry made a six day official visit to the United States.
2013 (8th July)
Harry qualified as an Apache aircraft commander.
2013 (October)
Harry made a tour of Australia.
2014 (6th March)
The Invictus Games, a sporting event for injured servicemen and women, was launched by Prince Harry.

Harry opened the second Invictus games in Orlando, USA with 15 nations competing.

Harry met American actress, Meghan Markle at a club in Toronto and they began dating.

Harry, William and Kate attended the centenary commemorations for the Battle of the Somme in France.
2016 (14th July)
Harry took a HIV test to raise awareness of testing.
2016 (November)
Harry made a two week tour of the Caribbean on behalf of the Queen.
2016 (8th November)
It was officially announced that Harry was in a relationship with American actress Meghan Markle.
2017 (23rd September)
Harry opened the third Invictus games in Toronto, Canada. During the games he and Meghan Markle made their first public appearance together.
2017 (27th November)
It was announced that Harry and Meghan had become engaged.
2017 (27th December)
Harry was appointed President of Africa Parks, a conservation organisation in Africa.
2018 (April)
Harry was appointed President of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.
2018 (May)
Harry was appointed Lieutenant Commander of the Royal Navy, Major of the British Army and Squadron Leader of the Royal Airforce.
2018 (19th May)
Prince Harry married Meghan Markle at St George’s Chapel Windsor. The Queen created Harry Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel.
2018 (13th October)
Harry became a Personal Aide-de-Camp to the Queen.
2018 (15th October)
Kensington Palace announced that Harry’s wife, Meghan, was pregnant and that their first baby would be born in the Spring. The announcement was made as the couple began a tour of Australia.
2019 (6th May)
A son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born to Prince Harry and Meghan.
2019 (23rd September)
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle began a tour of South Africa. They took baby Archie with them.
2019 (4th October)
It was announced that Harry was suing The Sun and The Mirror newspapers over phone hacking.
2020 (8th January)
Harry and Meghan announced that they would be stepping back from being senior royals. They will divide their time between the UK and the USA and will work to become financially independent. They will maintain their current patronages and will set up a new charitable foundation.
2020 (18th January)
It was officially announced that Harry and Meghan would step back from Royal duties and would not receive public funding. They would no longer use their HRH titles and would nor would they represent the Queen. Harry and Meghan also stated that they would repay the £2.4 million public money used to refurbish Frogmore Cottage.
2021 (14th February)
Harry and Meghan announced that their second child would be born in the summer.
2021 (19th February)
It was announced that Prince Harry and Meghan will not be returning as working members of the UK Royal Family.
2021 (7th March)
An interview given by Harry and Meghan with Oprah Winfrey, was broadcast in the United States. It was broadcast in the UK the following day. In the interview a number of claims were made against the Royal Family.
2021 (9th April)
Harry’s grandfather, Prince Philip died at Windsor.
2021 (17th April)
Harry attended the funeral of his grandfather, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh who was buried in St George’s Chapel, Windsor. His pregnant wife, Meghan remained in the United States having been advised not to travel.
2021 (21st May)
Prince Harry made a statement criticising the BBC following publication of the Dyson Report which revealed that deceit had been used by Martin Bashir to obtain the famous interview with his mother Diana. He stated that his mother’s death was a direct result of the interview and slated the media for its continued use of fake news and deceitful practices to obtain interviews and statements.
2021 (4th June)
A daughter, Lilibet (Lili) Diana was born to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in California.
2022 (3rd June)
Harry and Meghan were in the UK to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. They attended the service of thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey.
2022 (4th September)
Prince Harry and Meghan arrived in London to attend a number of charity events over the following week.
2022 (8th September)
Prince Harry became fifth in line to the throne after his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, died at Balmoral Castle. His father became King Charles III and his brother William became heir to the throne.
2022 (19th September)
Harry and Meghan attended the funeral services at Westminster and Windsor for Queen Elizabeth II.
