Lucerys Velaryon Timeline
Season 1 Age 0
Lucerys Velaryon was born to Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon. Although Laenor acknowledged Lucerys as his son, he was actually fathered by Harwin Strong. He was the couple’s second son, his elder brother Jacaerys was 2 years old.
Season 1 Age 4
Lucerys’ brother Joffrey Velaryon was born. He was also fathered by Harwin Strong.

Lucerys was at the dragonpit where his brother Jacaerys was learning to tame his dragon. Afterwards all the children taunted Aemond, who does not have a dragon, by presenting him with a pig.

Lucerys (Luke), Jacaerys (Jace), Aegon and Aemond were being trained in weapons use by Ser Criston Cole. Cole showed obvious favour to Alicent’s children. He was angry because Rhaenyra had dismissed any idea of marrying him wanting him only as her lover.

Harwin Strong arrived to say goodbye to Rhaenyra and the children. On his father’s order he was to return to Harrenhal.

While Harwin Strong and his father were at Harrenhal, a fire broke out. They were both unable to leave their rooms and died in the blaze.

Lucerys, his siblings and parents went to Driftmark for the funeral of Laena.

Prince Aemond had claimed Laena’s dragon for himself. Laena’s daughters Baela and Rhaena were angry because the dragon was meant for one of them. When Aemond returned to the castle and was confronted by Laena’s daughters Baela and Rhaena. Luke and Jace supported the girls and fought Aemond. In the melee, Aemond broke Luke’s nose and Luke slashed Aemond across the face causing him to lose an eye.

King Viserys called for calm and demanded to know why the fight had taken place. He was angry when he heard that Aemond had called Luke and Jace bastards and demanded to know who had given him this information. Aegon told his grandfather that it was common knowledge. Alicent demanded retribution and instructed Criston Cole to take Luke’s eye. Viserys refused such action. Alicent then grabbed a dagger and slashed Rhaenyra’s arm before storming off. Aemond told everyone that losing an eye was a fair exchange for gaining a dragon.

Luke’s half-brother, Aegon was born to Daemon and Rhaenyra. He was known as Aegon the younger to distinguish him from King Viserys and Alicent’s son Aegon the elder.

Luke’s half-brother Viserys was born to Daemon and Rhaenyra.
Season 1 Age 9
After hearing that Corlys Velaryon had been badly injured in battle at Stepstones, Lucerys travelled with his siblings, mother and her new husband Prince Daemon to Kings Landing. Corlys had long stated his intention for Lucerys to succeed as Lord of Driftmark.

Lucerys and his brother Jacaerys were present in the hall to hear the petitions for Driftmark. Corlys’ brother Vaemond spoke first stating his claim on the grounds that Luke Velaryon was not of Velaryon blood. As Rhaenyra began her petition on behalf of her son, Viserys arrived. This shocked those present, especially Otto and Alicent. The King was very weak and feeble and barely able to walk unaided. However, once on the throne he said that Rhaenys was the only person present who had insight into Corlys’ wishes.

Rhaenys stepped forward to speak and told the assembly that Corlys had always wished for Luke to succeed him. She said she agreed and accepted Rhaenyra’s proposal for Luke and Jace to marry Baela and Rhaena. Vaemond was furious. He questioned Luke’s parentage and called Rhaenyra a whore. Viserys ordered his tongue be removed. Daemon stepped forward and decapitated Vaemond.
Season 1 Age 9
Lucerys attended a celebratory meal requested by Viserys. Viserys told those present that they were the people he loved the most and asked them to be nice to each other. Rhaenyra made a toast to Alicent and Alicent reciprocated. Aemond rose to make a toast. He then raised his cup to Luke, Jace and Joffrey Velaryon stating ‘I have never known anyone so strong as my sweet nephews, so let us drain our cups to these three strong boys’. The tension between the two families was rising and after the King was carried out unwell, a fight erupted.
Season 1 Age 9
Lucerys looked at the painted table and told his mother he had no wish to be Lord of the Tides. Rhaenyra told him that he had to fulfil his destiny.

After hearing the news from Rhaenys, Rhaenyra told Jahaerys and Lucerys that Viserys was dead and that the Greens had seized the throne.
Season 1
After suggesting that messages be sent to the Starks, the Tullys and Borros Baratheon, Jacaerys said he believed it would be better if he and Lucerys went in person. Rhaenyra agreed and sent Jace north to the Starks and the Tullys and Luke south to Storm’s End. Rhaenyra told them to remember they were sent as messengers not warriors. Soon after both boys departed. As they flew off, Lucerys noticed another dragon in the sky.
Season 1 Age 9
Luke arrived at Storm’s End and he was brought before Borros Baratheon. However, as he entered the hall he noticed that Prince Aemond had arrived before him. Lucerys delivered his mother’s message but Borros was unhappy that he was not offered anything. Luke said he would return to his mother. Aemond then demanded that Luke take his own eye. He refused. Borros said he would not tolerate fighting and Lucerys was able to leave. He flew off on his dragon Arrax but soon realised he was being pursued by Aemond on Vhagar.
Season 1 Age 9
Arrax was becoming difficult to control and surprised Luke when it attacked Vhagar. Lucerys thought he had escaped when Vhagar appeared out of the clouds. Vhagar attacked Arrax with a huge bite causing it to fall from the sky. It was not clear if Luke survived the attack but his cloak was seen falling from the sky. If Luke had survived the attack he was killed by the fall.
