Viserys Targaryen was born to the Mad King Aerys Targaryen and Rhaella Targaryen.
Before Season 1 Age 5
After the death of Viserys’ elder brother, Rhaegar at the Battle of the Trident, King Aerys sent Viserys and his pregnant mother to the island of Dragonstone for safety.
Before Season 1 Age 6
Aerys Targaryen was killed by Jaime Lannister. Viserys became Targaryen heir to the throne.

A daughter, Daenerys was born to Rhaella Targaryen and posthumously to the Mad King Aerys. There was a violent storm on the night she was born and she was known as Stormborn to mark this.

At about the same time as Daenerys’ birth, a son was born to Viserys’ elder brother, Rhaegar and Lyanna Stark. The child’s identity was kept secret and he was named Jon Snow.

Viserys’ childhood was spent on the continent trying to gain support from the Free Cities to invade Westeros and take the Iron Throne from Robert Baratheon.

Viserys and Daenerys were living in the home of Magister Illyrio Mopatis in Pentos. Viserys had agreed a marriage between his sister Daenerys and Dothraki leader, Khal Drogo. In return for Daenerys, Drogo would provide an army of 40,000 Dothraki to help him retake the Iron Throne.

Viserys Targaryen told his sister Daenerys, who did not want to marry Drogo, that she had no choice and would do as he said.

Daenerys married Khal Drogo. She was given a present of 3 dragon eggs by Magister Illyrio.

Viserys decided that he would travel with the Dothraki to make sure that Drogo kept his side of the bargain.

Viserys Targaryen was dismayed to find that his sister was becoming more difficult for him to control and after she gave him an order he threatened her with a sword. He was humiliatingly disarmed by her Dothraki bodyguard and told that he would have to walk rather than ride in the future.

Viserys lost the respect of the Dothraki due to his attitude and haughty behaviour.

Daenerys became pregnant. She ate the heart of a stallion before the Dothraki and earned admiration from them for doing so. Viserys was unhappy at the attention and admiration she was getting.

The Dothraki reached the city of Vaes Dothrak. Viserys rudely called it a city of sticks and mud.

Viserys was furious at receiving an invitation to dinner from his sister. He felt that she was giving him orders and angrily confronted her and hit her. Daenerys hit him back and warned him that if he hit her again he would lose his hands.

Viserys Targaryen was annoyed that Khal Drogo had made no move towards preparing an invasion of Westeros. He decided to steal Daenerys’s dragon eggs and sell them to buy an army. He was stopped by Jorah Mormont.
Season 1 Age 22
Daenerys and Khal Drogo were at a feast. Viserys Targaryen arrived drunk and threatened Khal Drogo with his sword demanding the promised army so he can take his crown. Drogo told Viserys that he could have his crown and executed him by pouring molten gold over his head.
