2001 (18th December)
Billie Eilish was born Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell to Patrick O’Connell and Maggie Baird in Los Angeles, California. She was the couple’s second child, her brother Finneas was born in 1997. Her mother is an actress and screenwriter, her father an actor and musician.
2005 (Autumn)
Billie was home-schooled and began singing when she was young. Her mother wrote songs and her father played the piano and the ukulele so the house was often filled with music. The family followed a vegetarian/vegan diet and Billie has maintained this.
2009 (during)
Billie joined the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus which her brother attended. The choral style music gave Billie a good grounding in vocal technique.

Billie’s brother, Finneas, began writing and producing songs.

Billie began writing songs.

2015 (October)
Billie Eilish recorded ‘Ocean Eyes’ which had been written by her brother.

Eilish released the EP ‘Don’t Smile at Me’ which included the singles ‘Ocean Eyes’, ‘Bellyache’, ‘Watch’. ‘Copycat’ ‘My Boy’ and ‘Idontwannabeyouanymore’. It reached number 14 in the US and number 12 in the UK.
2017 (1st October)
Billie Eilish began a short 17 day tour to promote her debut EP ‘Don’t Smile at Me’.

In an interview with the magazine ‘Harper’s Bazaar’, Billie revealed that her clothes are chosen to make an impact.

Billie began a two month tour, named the ‘Where’s My Mind’ tour.

Billie Eilish and Khalid released ‘Lovely’ which featured on the soundtrack for season two of ’13 Reasons Why’. It reached number 64 in the US and number 47 in the UK.

Billie released the single ‘You Should See Me in a Crown’. It reached number 41 in the US and number 60 in the UK.

Billie performed at the Mo Pop Festival in Detroit.
