Olivia Rodrigo was born Olivia Isabel Rodrigo in Temecula, California. Very little is known about her parents beyond the fact that her father is of Filipino descent and her mother has a German and Irish heritage.
2008 (around)
Rodrigo began her education and attended Lisa J Mails Elementary School, Murrieta, California.
2009 (during)
Olivia began taking singing and acting classes and started appearing in school musical productions.
2014 (around)
Rodrigo left Elementary school and moved to the Dorothy McElhinney Middle School.

Rodrigo made her acting debut in a commercial for the clothing brand Old Navy.
2015 (9th June)
The film ‘An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success’ was released. Olivia played the lead role, Grace, a girl who loves to bake.
2016 (during)
Olivia was cast as the lead, Paige Olvera, in the Disney comedy series ‘Blizaardvark’. The role meant a move to Los Angeles where the show was filmed. While on set Olivia had lessons from a private tutor.

Rodrigo played Terrinea in the ‘New Girl’ episode ‘Young Adult’.
2018 (July)
Olivia began a relationship with Blizaardvark co-star Ethan Wacker. The couple kept their relationship secret.

Olivia Rodrigo and Ethan Wacker confirmed their relationship with an Instagram post.

The relationship between Olivia and Ethan Wacker ended.

The single ‘I Think I Kinda, You Know’, a duet with Joshua Bassett, was released to promote the upcoming release of the series ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’.

Disney Channel launched ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ with Olivia playing the lead, Nini Salazar-Roberts.

The single ‘Wondering’, a duet with Julia Lester, was released to coincide with the launch of the series ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’.

The single ‘All I Want’ was released. Written and performed by Rodrigo for the series ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’. It was her first chart success reaching number 32 in the UK and number 90 in the US.

The single ‘Out of the Old’ from the series ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ was released.

The single ‘Just for a Moment’, a duet with Joshua Basset from the series ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’, was released.

Olivia Rodrigo signed a recording contract with Interscope Records and Geffen Records.

It was rumoured that Olivia had been dating co-star Joshua Bassett but that the relationship had ended. Bassett was later linked with co-star Sabrina Carpenter.

The single ‘Drivers License’, written and performed by Rodrigo, was released. It broke records for the most downloaded song and reached number 1 in the UK, US and many other countries worldwide.

The single ‘Deja Vu’, written and performed by Rodrigo, was released. It reached number 5 in the UK and number 2 in the US Charts.
2021 (14th May)
The second season of ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ aired on the Disney Channel.

The single ‘Good 4 U’ was released. It reached number 1 in the UK and US charts.

Olivia’s debut album ‘Sour’ was released. It reached number 1 in the UK and US charts.
