Adele Laurie Blue Adkins was born to Penny Adkins and Marc Evans in Tottenham, London.
1990 (during)
Adele’s parents split up and her father left the home.
1992 (during)
Adele Adkins began singing and developed an interest in voices.
1997 (during)
Penny Adkins found new employment and she and Adele moved to Brighton.
1999 (during)
Adele and her mother moved back to London.
1999 (during)
Adele’s paternal grandfather died and her father turned to alcohol to deal with the loss. Father and daughter soon lost contact with each other.

The single ‘Hometown Glory’ was released. It reached number 19 in the UK charts.

The single ‘Chasing Pavements’ was released. It reached number 2 in the UK and nunmber 21 in the US charts.

Adele began her first tour. Titled ‘An Audience with Adele’ she performed a total of 78 shows in Europe and North America.

The album ’19’ was released. It reached number 1 in the UK and number 4 in the US charts.

The single ‘Cold Shoulder’ was released. It reached number 18 in the UK charts.
2008 (18th October)
Adele appeared on the American show ‘Saturday Night Live’ where she performed ‘Chasing Pavements’. The performance helped her album sales in the United States.
2008 (27th October)
Adele released the only cover version on her album as a single. ‘Make You Feel My Love’. It reached number 26 in the UK charts.
2008 (November)
Adele moved out of her mother’s home to live independently. She lived in Notting Hill, London.
2010 (September)
Adele’s single ‘Make You Feel My Love’ was performed on the show ‘X Factor’. The single re-entered the UK charts and eventually climbed to reach number 4. It was the highest selling single of the year.

The single ‘Rolling in the Deep’ was released. It reached number 2 in the UK and number 1 in the US charts.
2011 (during)
Adele’s father, Marc Evans, gave an interview to the press. They have been estranged ever since.

Adele was asked to compose the theme song for the upcoming James Bond film ‘Skyfall’.

The album ’21’ was released. It reached number 1 in at least 30 countries and was the World’s best selling album of 2011 and 2012.

The ‘Adele Live’ tour began. Adele played 51 concerts in Europe and North America.

The cover single ‘Set Fire to the Rain’ was released. It reached number 11 in the UK and number 1 in the US charts.

Adele began a relationship with Simon Konecki, a charity entrepreneur.
2011 (October)
The remaining dates of Adele’s tour were cancelled after she suffered a vocal haemorrhage and had to undergo surgery to remove a benign polyp.

A video recording of Adele’s tour ‘Live at the Royal Albert Hall’ was released. It became the best-selling music DVD of the year.

The single ‘Hello’ was released. It reached number 1 in the UK and US charts and around the World.

The album ’25’ was released. It reached number 1 in the UK and US charts as well as most countries around the World.

The single ‘When We Were Young’ was released. It reached number 9 in the UK and number 14 in the US charts.

Adele won Brit Awards for British Female Solo Artist, British Album of the Year ’25’ and British Single of the Year ‘Hello’.

Adele Adkins and Simon Konecki married, however, they separated the same year. They share custody of their son, Angelo.
